Build, Compete, and Showcase Your Minecraft Skills!
The COMO Crafting Challenge is a two-round competition for elementary students in Columbia Public Schools (CPS) in Columbia, Missouri. First, teams compete at their school level, and the winners from each elementary school advance to the city-wide competition. The final winners will be announced and awarded before the end of the school year. Winning build entries will be displayed here with the team names at the end of the competition. The competition is split into two age groups.
Grades K, 1, & 2: Teams of 3-5 students will create pixel art in Minecraft, based on the theme "games." Pixel art is typically two dimensional, and can be built flat on the Minecraft world or upright.
Grades 3, 4, & 5: Teams of 3-5 students will work together to recreate well-known Columbia landmarks.
Judging Criteria: The members of the JWMS Minecraft Club will serve as judges for this competition. Entries will be judged based on their representation of the theme, block color accuracy & variety, and complexity of the image/landmark chosen.
To participate, students must ensure their builds are created in our official JWMS Minecraft world. No size limitations apply to the builds, but all submissions must be in this designated world.
